To be honest, all of us are influenced by someone and something. As a child, I myself find Miyasaki's(Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind) and Todd Mcfarlene(Spawn) works to be pure utter genius and I myself strive to be a good artist. Of course as a child we will copy their shit and our art would look like theirs, but in the long run, you will soon feel that you are just repeating the same stuff and after that you will learn to develop your own style. If this has not come yet, then be patient, it will come.
I say let the people develop their own sense of style and develop it.
Oh btw you know what, it is all the same shit so please dont differentiate both American and Japanese comics as different formats because both of them are drawn in a fucking paper(well unless they use rocks then it is Japanese Hyroglyphics, then all I can say is wow).
TL;DR: All comics are the same, support each other and let people have their own cup of tea.
It is provided to give a summarization of something too long that may bore the reader, or it is given to immediately give the underlying message of a paragraph or sentence.
Note: Used only in informal languages.
Btw, any good news about what happened. I think I feel like I missed out something or someone important that has happened or appeared there yesterday.
I feel like an ass today because of being so sick so excuse me.
If you want my advice, incorporate both western and eastern art style(which i am now practicing to do) since our islands are wedge between and being used as a harbor of exporting products between them, in order to create something remarkable. Viola, new artstyle!!

I am not angry with your professor. Di ko naman sya kilala. I am talking about the GENERAL bashers at may mga prof na kilala ko na makitid ang utak.
Ano ba ang ginawang masama ni Comipa sa inyo? Nakita lang nyo na pinoy na na feature sa DD... badtrip na kayo kasi manga style nya tapos pilipino sya?

Andito parin naman angmga non-"manga artist" ... they're all over Marvel and DC...earning big bucks. I don't even need to enumerate 'em masmarai sila sa mga professional manga artist.
Anime sikat ngayon e... it's annoying to some point but IT IS A FAD. kung sino lang naman ang tunay na matatag sa sining ng manga style ang matitira... like in the 90s when everyone was drawing JimLee... yung tunay na may talent moved on... started on learning other stuff...yung iba nagbago na ang style.
For me I'll support my fellow country men on what ever style they'll do...basta magaling.
Di pa natin talaga nadidiscover yang pinoy style... siguro kung wala ng siraan at maganda na ang pagtangkilik muli sa komiks (kahit ano pa mnag style) ayun magkakaroon nun. Pero ang alam ko wala namang problema ang ibang bansa sa style style na yan e. Brasil draws "western" and manga...suportado sila ng kanilang kapwa. Korean pop art looks very Japanese pero pinopromote nila as their own. Almost all of Asia is into manga at wala naman silang problema dun. neways tama na wala ng patutunguhan. bahala na kayo.
pero mapa "Western" man o "Manga"... hindi iisang style lang to. Marami lang talagang misconception on manga style na eto ay napaka "limiting" when it comes to art style. Tama. Pansin naman nating lahat na marami ngang nga sa ating kabataan ay puro manga lang ang dindrowing, Deviant Art lang e obvious na to. Pero karamihan lang naman sa kanila ay mga fans ng napapanood nilang sikat na anime. E yun lang talaga ang kanilang gusto. Hindi natin mapwepwersa sa kanila na mapahilig sa ibang estilo kung aywa naman nila talaga. E dun sila masaya. Wala silang ikakaunlad kung ganun nga lang. PERO... marami rin namang artist ang tumutuklas ng ibang estilo. Walang masama sa paggamit ng manga katulad nga sa unagng post ko "Kahit saang style ka magsimula. Basta wag ka makontendo! Alamin ang lahat ng dapat alamin! Tingnan ang ibat ibang style. Alamin ang tamang anatomy, tamang perspective,

So yung pinopost ko pala ay direcho lang sa CSB teacher nyo na nagsabi na wag magmanga? Pakibasa nga uli yung post ko... para sa lahat ng makitid ang utak yun... GENERAL! bat kayo atang sa isang certain class ng SDA ang tinamaan? Ang point ko lang naman ay marami talagang nagppreach na know it alls na tingin lang sa manga ay cartoon/ kiddy style. Ang nasa utak ko pa nga ay isang prof na hindi taga CSB eh... pero kung tinamaan din kayo ay sorry nalang.
Good Luck nalang sa animation competition sa France para sa inyong Prof! Sana ay mabigyan nya ng karangalan ang ating bansa.
