Costrip Contest

GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES

• There is no limit to the number of registered contestants for the Costrip Wildcard contest.
• All attendees in full character costume are automatically eligible for this contest but must still register their intent to participate as per the general cosplay rules and guidelines.
• Anonymous roaming judges will be present to judge cosplayers based on their costume and character portrayal. Skits with fellow costrippers are allowed but must be kept civil and safe at all times.
• Costripper contestants will be judged within the event premises only.
• Contestants are prohibited from insistently harassing or interacting with unwilling “civilian” event attendees and other non-contestants. Contestants found violating this rule will be given one warning only and any repeated offense will cause the contestant’s immediate disqualification and/or expulsion from the event premises.
• Contestants will be given number badges and must wear them at all times that they wish to be eligible for judging. Contestants may remove their number badges if they wish to take rests or breaks from the contest.
• The Costrip Wildcard contest is an “at-risk” and “at-will” contest. Due to the nature of costripping, the organizers and cosplay teams DO NOT guarantee that all contestants will be equally observed by the judges. By joining the Costrip Wildcard contest, participants acknowledge that fair and equal coverage/judging of all contestants is neither possible nor feasible; thereby releasing the M3Con organizers and cosplay team from any accountability or responsibility in this regard.
• At any time and at their own discretion, M3Con organizers and/or cosplay team may disqualify and remove from the premises without prior warning; contestants found violating the general rules, regulations, and guidelines depending on the severity of the offense.
• Judges’ decisions are final.
